About the Conference

Following its previous editions at IIM Calcutta and IIM Ahmedabad, the 3rd India Conference on Information Systems (InCIS 2027) arrives at IIT Madras. Organized by the Department of Management Studies (DoMS), IIT Madras in collaboration with the Association for Information Systems India Chapter (INAIS), InCIS 2027 brings together researchers, scholars, developers, policy experts, and industry professionals to explore the evolving landscape of information systems.

The conference serves as a platform to bridge rigorous academic research with real-world applications, fostering local and global perspectives on building responsible and resilient digital systems.

Submission Types & Formatting

Submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process. The accepted submission types include:

  • Completed Research Papers: Up to 10 pages (~6,000 words), presenting original research with significant theoretical or empirical contributions.

  • Short Research Papers: Up to 5 pages (~3,000 words), covering emerging results, work-in-progress, or novel research concepts (ideal for early-stage doctoral work).

Submissions can be submitted electronically via the EasyChair portal: InCIS 2027 EasyChair Submission Link.

Special Highlights

  • Doctoral Consortium (March 11, 2027): A 1-day dedicated event for Ph.D. candidates to gain individual feedback, mentorship, and guidance from senior faculty.

  • Journal Collaborations & Special Issues: Selected high-quality papers will be considered for special publication opportunities in partner journals, including Information Systems Frontiers (ISF) and Information Systems Journal (ISJ) Paper Development Workshops (PDW).
