This is the first time that our Central Library has hosted a National Webinar for all librarians. The theme of this year’s webinar is “Return on Investment in Libraries” and it focuses on all aspects of a future oriented library, its up-to-date media offerings and its creative and modern services. In this way, the theme aims to enable us to demonstrate that libraries in all parts of the world fulfill their tasks as important centres for information provision in their institutes. Behind the simple facade of the SFIT Library webpage lies a plethora of information and assistance.  From locating materials in the physical library , to identifying and using electronic resources, to searching WebOPAC and DSpace@SFIT, to managing your library account, we are here to help you students. A big thank you to FE HOD - Dr. Poonam Hemnani and Co-ordinator for the Orientation - Ms. Deepa Panakkal for giving an opportunity to showcase the library resources. A total of 362 students attended the online orientation between 17 - 18 February, 2021. Ms. Chinmayee Bhange and Ms. Sucheta Prabhudesai gave an insight into the library and its varied services. To help all our faculties overcome this hurdle and aid them in their journey to Ph.D., the Learning and Information Resource Centre (Central Library) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Francis Institute of Technology in collaboration with IEEE had organized a Virtual  Workshop for Authors.
