Pune, June 22 (KNN) The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has decided to set up ten 'Indovation' cells in tier 2 and 3 institutions across the country, chairman of AICTE T G Sitharam said on Wednesday. Abhay Jere, vice chairman of AICTE and chief innovation officer at the ministry of education said, “These Indovation cells will scout for technologies in tier 2 and 3 institutions of our country and help them scale up the technology, in commercialisation and converting into startups.” “For the Indovation cell, we already have infrastructure in place and funding has been approved. As for the placement portal, many industries have approached. We will be giving pre-placement interview training to these students so that they can successfully appear for the interviews," Sitharam said.
