Marathi Bhasha Diwas is celebrated in honour of Marathi language. SFIT NSS in collaboration with the Learning and Information Resource Centre celebrated ‘Marathi Bhasha Din’ on the occasion of the birth anniversary of noted Marathi litterateur V. V. Shirwadkar, popularly known as ‘Kusumagraj’ whose birthday falls on 27th February every year.  Ayush Mohite - student of T.E. ExTC welcomed all the dignitaries, faculty members and students. Our Government has started celebrating the birth anniversary of Kusumagraj as 'Marathi Rajbhasha Gaurav Din' after the Jnanpeeth awardee's demise in 1999.  From the year 2015 Government of Maharashtra - Marathi Language Section had instituted two special awards for individuals taking initiatives to promote Marathi literature.  The Vinda Karandikar Lifetime Achievement Award is conferred to Shri.
