 📊 On #NationalStatisticsDay, we remember P.C. Mahalanobis—a visionary who helped independent India see itself not through slogans, but through statistics.

From creating the Mahalanobis distance to designing large-scale sample surveys, his work laid the foundation for data-driven policymaking. He believed in using numbers not for control, but for progress and planning.

His legacy lives on through the Indian Statistical Institute, Sankhyā, and India's commitment to evidence-based development.
