The Mission of the SFIT Library is to cater to the needs and interests of its academic community by providing recorded information and thought.
Location
SFIT Library is located on the second floor. It occupies an area of 623.43 Sq.m. It consists of the main library, the reference & periodicals section, digital library, reading room and the store room.

Security
Library Memberships / Loan Privileges
Student:
Student members of SFIT will be issued Library Cards and Reference Card. Such cards will remain in force for the duration of the study years and shall not be transferable. To become a student member, one must have,
• Original fee receipt
• 3 stamp size photographs
Late charges of Rs. 25/- will have to be paid if membership is not availed within the stipulated period of time.
Staff
(Teaching and Non-Teaching) To become a member, following must be submitted:
• Copy of Appointment Letter
• 1 passport size photograph
• Employee ID (to be collected from Accounts Department)
The card will remain in force till the period of his/her teaching. Loan Privileges
Students: 2 documents for a period of 7 days
Toppers: First three toppers from Sem I to Sem VII are given Scholars' Cards. These cards are in addition to the Library Cards.
1st. Topper: 3 Scholars' Cards
2nd. Topper: 3 Scholars' Cards
3rd. Topper: 1 Scholars' Card
Staff:
Teaching: 10 documents for a period of one semester
Non-Teaching: 5 documents for a period of one semester
Staff members pursuing higher studies are given a document loan of 5 extra books.
