Indian Army a valued institution of India, says chief Naravane

The nation is celebrating the 72nd Army Day today in honour of the soldiers who serve the country selflessly and risk their lives to safeguard the borders. An annual parade at the Cariappa Parade Ground in New Delhi will mark the celebrations.
In a first for any woman officer, Captain Tania Shergill, an officer with Army’s Corps of Signals, will lead an all men contingent at the Army Day Parade today, news agency IANS reported.

Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder and billionaire, to visit India next week

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos will be visiting India next week and is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and officials, besides industry leaders, according to sources. The top executive will also attend SMBhav – an event focussing on small and medium businesses in India – that is slated for January 15-16 in the capital city. When contacted, Amazon declined to comment.

BOOK BANK FACILITY FOR FE TO BE
The library is providing the “Book Bank” facility to all the students from FE. to BE
Timings are as mentioned below:

The “Book Bank” system works as under:                 
1) A maximum of 2(two) books can be issued.                                                                                  
2) They are requested to pay an amount of Rs.20/- for the books which are “Donated” by many gracious people and Rs.50/- for the remaining books which are purchased by the LIRC.               
Students are requested to return the book on or before 30/06/2020; failing which a fine of Re.1 per day (inclusive of holidays) will be charged.                                                                                           
Students are requested to note the following:                                                                                      
1) DO NOT disfigure (markings, tear, underline etc.) any of the books; failing which you would be liable to pay Rs.100/- per book and/or replace the book.                                                                            
2) It is expected that the students maintain the books in good reading conditions                   
3) Book Bank facility is available to the valid SFIT library members only.                            
4) Return the books on or before the due date.                                                                                   
The list of books in the Book Bank will be made available on the college library web page http://www.sfit.ac.in/library >News>List of Book Bank Books.                                          
STUDENTS WILL BE PROVIDED BOOKS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.
